Bhutanese-Entry

Click here to pre-register if you are a Bhutanese citizen arriving into the country. Please ensure you have your Citizenship Identity Card or Passport information ready.

Click here to pre-register if you are a Bhutanese citizen exiting the country. Please ensure you have your Citizenship Identity Card or Passport information ready.

Foreigners

Click here to submit your arrival information if you are a foreigner eligible to get Entry Permit/Visa on Arrival. Please have a clear copy of the passport ready to be submitted during pre-Registration.

 

Foreigners issued with a prior clearance (e-Visa or e-Permit) by the Department of Immigration Do Not have to pre-register.

Entry into Bhutan

Nationals of India are eligible for Entry Permit at the port of entry.

Nationals of Bangladesh and the Maldives are eligible for visa on arrival.

Nationals of Thailand and Switzerland holding Diplomatic/Official passports are eligible for visa on arrival.

Foreigners issued with a valid SAARC Visa Exemption Sticker do not require prior visa/entry permit clearance.

All other foreign nationals must obtain an e-visa prior to their entry into Bhutan.

Admission into the country will be determined by Immigration Officers at the port of entry.
